Infonautics is a new interdisciplin knowledge area in the cross road of system science, cybernetics and informatics. Infonautics include structure and characteristics of the infosphere and its ecological, geographical, human biological, scientific and technological, economic, political and socio-cultural structures and processes. Infonautics is about theory and methods for development, organizing, production, storing, transmitting, distribution, retrieval, evaluation of information, including informationsystems, networks, services, processes and activities that transfer knowledge from source to end-user.
Some keywords with connection to infonautics are infosphere, cyberspace, information space, information ecology, cybergeography, information landscape, information map, information architecture, information design, information visualization, environment, scanning, monitoring, intelligence, communication, intelligent agents, search engines, network, Internet, information autonomy, information competence, information literacy, information stress, information fusion.
Infonaut is continuously scanning and summarizing the following knowledge fields: intelligence cybernetics, environmental scanning, buisiness intelligence, team intelligence, information autonomy, information competence, infosphere, robotics, intelligent networking.
